Seen On The Scene: "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Finesmith Designs

Yet another fabulous show, as if I've come to expect anything less from an event showcasing Finesmith Designs.  "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" highlighted the unique color change scripts included in nearly all jewelry from Finesmith Designs, featuring pieces in a myriad of spring colors.  Yula sat next to me and fed me spinach dip with celery and PB&J sandwiches as we watched the models, so I was pretty much in heaven, hahaha.  Check out the pics below!

The Bleeding Edge: "Mikey" by Body Talking

I try not to take too many photographs of the same person (so that everyone has a chance to be seen), but Rissa was absolutely stunning today, so I just had to include 2 photos of her.  House of Europe has some amazing offerings for both men and women (I wore the outfit Matteo is modeling below), and jewelry from Finesmith Designs is always perfect in every way.  Enjoy!

The Bleeding Edge: "February Inspiration" by Finesmith Designs

So last month I got crazy and decided to style a unique look for each of the January Inspiration designs.  I had sooo much fun, and it really stretched my skills as a model and photographer.  Unfortunately, however, in my rush to get the photos out as soon as possible I ended up being unhappy with a couple of the finished products, which I later redid.  It was mostly just sloppy green screen editing from a photography noob, but I've learned my lesson.  Rather than throwing something together just to get it out there before the other bloggers, I plan on taking my time and trying out new Photoshop techniques.  Below is the first of the five February Inspiration sets, inspired by caoimhe Lionheart.  I'll post the others as I complete them, so check back often for updates!

This set was the first one to jump out at me from the invitation to the February Inspiration show...it just looked like fireworks shooting out of caiomhe's body!  I especially love the face mask, and plan on wearing it pretty much every where I go for the next month or so.  =P  For this photo I practiced adding light sources in Photoshop, making the fireworks cast a soft, colorful glow on my body.

This set reminds me of icicles, so I immediately decided to create a frost angel styling for this photo.  I had to shoot this against a backdrop in-world because of the extreme intricacy of the textures (I learned my lesson from last month's jewelry), but I still got lots of good practice in Photoshop using the liquify tool to smooth edges and make the body look more natural than Second Life allows.  =P

The shape of Saleena's Inspiration set reminds me of a clamshell, so I went all "Birth of Venus" with this shot.  Don't look too closely at the background or you'll see where I did my best clone brushing Venus out of the pic, hehehe.

Seen On The Scene: "February Inspiration Show" by Finesmith Designs

Yula Finesmith never ceases to amaze me.  I've followed the Finesmith Designs Inspiration project since my first foray into the modeling world back in December.  Each month yula and her panel of judges select 5 individuals to inspire a jewelry set to be released the following month.  One of my first goals that I set for myself as a model was to take part in this project, and I was fortunate enough to be selected for the March Inspiration cast, along with Wicca Merlin, Vivienne Coppola, Lauralie Baiely, and Taylor Wassep.  In addition, Wicca, Lauralie, and I will join rissa Friller for the March Finesmith Designs ad that will appear in the April issue of the BOSL (Best of Second Life)!

Back to the show!  Today's show had a very Arabian Nights sort of feel, with beautiful middle Eastern music and designs inspired by the desert sands.  The set itself resembled a desert oasis...a runway hidden beneath a rippling pool of water, surrounded by sparkling fountains and meditation clouds.  3 of today's Inspiration cast members were chosen to compete for the title of Finesmith Muse in November:  Harsch Sharktooth, caoimhe Lionheart, and Leandra Breen.  Pics below!
