Seen On The Scene: "SL8B Couture Fashion" by SL Art Couture & Siren Productions

SL Art Couture and Siren Productions have collaborated to produce two runway shows in celebration of Second Life's 8th Birthday (SL8B)...one couture and one casual.  The couture show was earlier today, featuring Finesmith Designs, Leezu, Gizza, and Azul.  I must admit, the set is one of the prettiest that I've ever seen.  I told Jonas (my amazingly talented SL husband/landscaper) that I expect a replica in our backyard by the end of the week.  =P  Oh!  And I also spotted my first Linden ever!  Woo!!!

The Bleeding Edge: "Rissa Delicate" by Finesmith Designs

Within the next week, Yula Finesmith of Finesmith Designs will release several sets inspired by Rissa Friller, Miss Finesmith Stylista 2011.  The set pictured below, "Rissa Delicate," contains an eye ornament, collar, bracelets, necklace (not pictured), and earrings (not pictured).  As with all jewelry from Finesmith Designs, "Rissa Delicate" includes a color and texture change menu that provides the user with TONS of options for customization.  Below I paired "Rissa Delicate" with "Lord Gear," a steampunk formal suit designed by Lexi Vargas of Brocade Tiger exclusively for SL Art Couture's Claim The Fame project.  Enjoy!

KULT Magazine: "April 2011"

The second issue of SL Art Couture's KULT Magazine is out, and I have two articles in it!  Make sure you check out Lens Flair, a monthly column in which I interview one of Second Life's many amazingly talented photographers.  This week's featured photographer extraordinaire is Talyia Tarber, owner of Garded Secret and a close personal friend.  Also check out my coverage of Claim The Fame, an exciting collaboration between SL Art Couture and Metaverse TV to find the grid's hottest new designer!  Here's the link to all the KULT Magazine goodness:

The Fashion Teller: "Je t'aime"

The Fashion Teller, one of SL Art Couture’s many unique projects, has just released its third publication, “Je t’aime,” and it is FABULOUS!!!   The Fashion Teller is the  brainchild of Arisia (Ari) Ashmoot (owner of Body Talking) and RicoRacer Flux.  It is the perfect synthesis of beautiful poses, stunning designs, incredible photography, and moving poetry.  The Fashion Teller’s previous endeavor brought you hot, steamy sex.  This time around, they bring you intimate views into the lives of SL’s power couples, inspired by timeless romances  such as those in “Moulin Rouge,” “From Here To Eternity,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Casablanca,” “My Fair Lady,” “Roman Holiday,” “Titanic,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Ghost,” “Snow White,” “Pretty Woman,” “Breakfast At Tiffany’s,” “Romeo & Juliet,” and “Gone With The Wind!”  Enjoy, and don't forget to stop by here to subscribe to all future publications from The Fashion Teller and SL Art Couture!

Seen On The Scene: "Metropolis" by SL Art Couture

This was my first fashion show I've attended, and it rocked my world!  Every aspect of it was absolutely beautiful...the set, the models, the skins, the hair, the shoes, the jewelry, the music.  In a word:  Gesamtkunstwerk.  I took an unwieldy number of photos...below are my favorites:

The Fashion Teller: "The Nutcracker"

If I were asked to isolate and name only one thing that inspired me to become a model, this would be it.  Everything SL Art Couture touches turns to gold.  They pay an incredible amount of attention to detail, ensuring that everyone works together in perfect harmony...designers, models, and photographers.  The results are always eye-catching, breath-taking, and OUTSTANDING!  Here is a link to the hi res version of their premier work:  http://issuu.com/slartcouture/docs/the_nutcracker/1
