The Fashion Teller: "Je t'aime"

The Fashion Teller, one of SL Art Couture’s many unique projects, has just released its third publication, “Je t’aime,” and it is FABULOUS!!!   The Fashion Teller is the  brainchild of Arisia (Ari) Ashmoot (owner of Body Talking) and RicoRacer Flux.  It is the perfect synthesis of beautiful poses, stunning designs, incredible photography, and moving poetry.  The Fashion Teller’s previous endeavor brought you hot, steamy sex.  This time around, they bring you intimate views into the lives of SL’s power couples, inspired by timeless romances  such as those in “Moulin Rouge,” “From Here To Eternity,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Casablanca,” “My Fair Lady,” “Roman Holiday,” “Titanic,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Ghost,” “Snow White,” “Pretty Woman,” “Breakfast At Tiffany’s,” “Romeo & Juliet,” and “Gone With The Wind!”  Enjoy, and don't forget to stop by here to subscribe to all future publications from The Fashion Teller and SL Art Couture!

TEST 004: "Style That!" by Finesmith Designs

Straight from the Sy Whitesong fail vault, here's my pathetic entry for week 3 of Finesmith Designs' Style That!  Typically I find the thrill of only having 2 hours to style a complete outfit exhilarating, but I was having a crap day in RL, SL kept crashing, and I just couldn't seem to find a way to create in SL what I was visualizing in my head.  So, this is what I ended up with.  It's not a bad styling, mind you...just not in any way innovative.  Congratz to Bluebell Andretti for winning!

The Bleeding Edge: "The Rabbicats" by Body Talking

Rabbicats is an extremely unique release from Body Talking, with 100% of the proceeds going to Project Fur Japan.  Project Fur Japan provides funds to aid animal rescue groups who are helping the thousands of animals lost and/or injured during the tragic earthquake and tsunami in Japan.  Rabbicats is a set of five super cute kittehs, each with a corresponding pose.  On a random side note, while we were shooting the vendor image earlier I discovered that Ari and all of her friends have nicknames based on their personality color.  Ari is Purbru, Miaa Rebane is Purmass, Steffy Ghost is Purpur, and Takeshi Kiama is Keshyellow.  After taking said test, I am now Syellow.  YAY!!!  =P

The Bleeding Edge: "Twiggy" by Body Talking

Pose Fair 2011 opens this Friday, and Body Talking has some amazing offerings for both men and women:  "Mikey" and "Twiggy!"  For more info on "Mikey," check out my previous Bleeding Edge post here on the Shiny Angel Couture blog.  "Twiggy" is a collection of 20 poses...10 unique poses, each featuring a mirrored counterpart.  The poses are especially well suited to ladies carrying a clutch or purse (neither of which works for me), so I decided to go into cuteness overload for this shoot.  Rather than a purse, I walked around the house carrying an adorable Domo plushie that I got from SweetTooth via the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser.  Also featured is some sweet hair from 3636 (my new fav hair) and a cute little outfit from Misera, both a part of the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser as well!

TEST 003: "Style That!" by Finesmith Designs

The second weekly Style That! competition was held at Finesmith Designs today, and competition was fierce!  I think I'm starting to get used to losing, wish is a necessary evil in the modeling world.  Congratulations to Catlyn Sahara for winning today's challenge and moving on to the finals in May!  Below is my *losing* styling.  Yula teased me, saying "I didn't know the item was Desert Winds!"  Admittedly I got a bit carried away and the intended focus of the outfit was a bit lost, but I still stand by my overall look.  =)

Seen On The Scene: "April Inspiration Casting" by Finesmith Designs

I have no idea how Yula and her panel of judges do it...there were soooo many AMAZING models on the runway today, each with a very different interpretation of Yula's creations.  My personal favorite was Rusalka.  She quite literally took my breath away as she OWNED the runway.  In the end, five models were selected to join me and the rest of the March Inspiration models in a show at the end of the month.  Joining us will be Aliyeh Yifu, Jamee Sandalwood, Melanie Sautereau, Rusalka Callisto, and Shena Neox.  I tried my best to get pictures of each member of the April Inspiration cast, but some of them were stubborn and just WOULD NOT bake for me.  However, I was able to get a good shot of 3 of the 5, as well as a couple of shots of the audience:

Aliyeh Yifu

Anigma Eulenberg

Draakje Dailey

Leandra Breen

Melanie Sautereau

Rusalka Callisto

TEST 002: "Style That!" by Finesmith Designs

The first Style That! competition was held by Finesmith Designs today, and it was a BLAST!  At 9AM SLT sharp an item was made available to members of the Finesmith Designs group in Second Life.  Contestants then had approximately 2 hours to make it back to the stage with a fully styled outfit.  One thing I love about this contest is how accessible it is...ANYONE can participate, no modeling skills required!  Contestants are judged on their ability to think outside of the box and create a unique styling, NOT on their ability to walk a runway or pose.  I didn't win this week (gratz to Anigma Eulenberg), but I did have a lot of fun, and came up with a very different look for me that I probably never would have been inspired to create otherwise.  Style That! is a weekly challenge, with each week's winner going on to compete in the finals on May 31!  See you at the next competition...I play to win!  *giggles*
